Di balik keberhasilan tindakan ostomi, terdapat tantangan besar yang harus dihadapi pasien dan tenaga kesehatan: <strong>komplikasi stoma dan kulit peristomal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berbagai literatur melaporkan bahwa komplikasi stoma dapat terjadi pada sekit ar <strong>20\u201370% pasien pascaostomi<\/strong> (Bafford &amp; Irani, 2013; Parini et al., 2023; Zelga et al., 2021). Masalah yang muncul sangat beragam, mulai dari kebocoran, iritasi dan kerusakan kulit peristomal, retraksi, separasi mukokutaneus, hingga nekrosis, prolaps, hernia parastomal, serta gangguan cairan dan elektrolit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yang terlihat sebagai <strong>\u201cmasalah kecil di sekitar stoma\u201d<\/strong> dapat berkembang menjadi nyeri, kerusakan kulit, kesulitan pemasangan pouch, kebocoran berulang, gangguan aktivitas sehari-hari, penurunan kepercayaan diri, bahkan meningkatkan kebutuhan rawat inap kembali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Komplikasi kulit peristomal sendiri dilaporkan terjadi pada sekitar <strong>36,3\u201373,4% pasien<\/strong>, sementara kebocoran peristomal dalam berbagai studi bahkan ditemukan pada lebih dari <strong>50% pasien<\/strong> (D\u2019Ambrosio et al., 2022; Poliani et al., 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena itu, tenaga kesehatan tidak cukup hanya mengetahui <strong>cara mengganti kantong stoma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kita perlu mampu memahami <strong>apa yang normal dan tidak normal pada stoma, mengenali tanda komplikasi sejak dini, menentukan faktor penyebab, memilih intervensi yang tepat, melindungi kulit peristomal, serta mengetahui kapan pasien masih dapat ditangani secara konservatif dan kapan harus segera dirujuk.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pengetahuan ini penting karena tenaga kesehatan sering menjadi orang pertama yang melihat perubahan kondisi stoma pasien. Identifikasi dini dan intervensi yang tepat dapat membantu mencegah komplikasi berkembang menjadi lebih berat sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien ostomi (Tsujinaka et al., 2020; Panattoni et al., 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenapa Wound Class Ini Penting?Dalam Wound Class \u201cManajemen dan Komplikasi Stoma\u201d, kita akan belajar melihat stoma bukan hanya dari sisi produk atau pouching system, tetapi dari clinical reasoning:Kenali masalahnya. Cari penyebabnya. Tentukan intervensinya.
